Claims Management Process Flow
1. The Society shall ensure that beneficiary will inform VAS immediately of death of animals insured and goto / approach the VAS taking the sheep died to the VAS immediately.
2. Upon receiving intimation VAS will take photograph of dead sheep with ear & ear tag number clearly visible and also take another photo with beneficiary beside the dead sheep
3. Then VAS will conduct post mortem to arrive at the cause of death
4. VAS shall fill up the claim form cum death certificate (CDC) as per Format-4 with all the details duly affixing the seal and signature and beneficiary signature also. VAS shall take the Photo of CDC.
5. VAS/ Beneficiary will recover the ear tag duly cutting the ear from the dead sheep
6. a). VAS Shall send an email giving intimation of claim with tag number, policy number with other details like date of death etc. to the following mail ids duly attaching the CDC & photos taken

b). VAS shall send the physical copies of CDC &tag number to AIBPL address immediately so as to reach in the next 5 working days
7. VAS shall also use the Mobile App for claim intimation using the Aadhar number intimating the claim with tag number & uploading the sheep photos and CDC format with a push off button.
8. After receiving the above data in the soft form ABPL shall prepare process note for every claim and send the claims on daily basis with process note& summary sheet district wise to NIC
9. After receiving the documents as mentioned above , NIC shall process the claims & keep the same ready for settlement awaiting the physical tags.
10. Soon after receiving the physical copy of CDC & tags AIBPL shall send the same to NIC duly monitoring the claims processing.
11. After receiving the physical tags NIC will settle the claims and will settle the same to district wise & transfer the claims money by online into the account of EDDSBCUs duly furnishing the details to AIBPL.
12. AIBPL after receiving the settlement/NEFT details shall reconcile the claim settlement periodically & shall follow up with the VAS / Department for submission of physical documents / tags pending with them and also with NIC settlement of pending claim for which physical tags/ documents already submitted to NIC.
13. Any discrepancy / Grievance pertaining to claims settled but not received by the beneficiary shall be suitably addressed by the AIBPL.
