Scope of cover, terms & conditions, clauses & exclusions
1. APPLICABILITY
All indigenous Sheep will be covered under this Scheme
2. AGE GROUP
6 months to 7 years.
3. VALUATION/ SUM INSURED
Rs. 5,000/- per sheep.

As Agreed
5. SCOPE OF COVER
a.The policy shall provide indemnity against death of sheep due to accident Including Fire, Lightning, Flood, Cyclone, Famine, Earthquake, landslide, Strike, Riot or diseases contracted or occurring during the period of insurance.
b.Transit Risk from the place of grounding to the beneficiary place is covered without any additional premium
6. EXCLUSIONS:
A)COMMON EXCLUSIONS:
i.alicious or willful injury or neglect, overloading, unskillful treatment or use of animal for purpose other than stated in the policy without the consent of the Company in writing.
ii. Accidents occurring and /or Disease contracted prior to commencement of risk.
iii. Intentional slaughter of the animal except in cases where destruction is necessary to terminate incurable suffering on the basis of certificate issued by qualified Veterinarian or in cases where destruction is resorted to by the order of lawfully constituted authority.
iv. Theft and clandestine sale of the insured animal.
v. War, invasion, act of foreign enemy, hostilities (whether war be declared or not), civil war, rebellion, revolution, insurrection, mutiny, tumult, military usurped power or any consequences thereof or attempt threat.
vi. Any accident, loss, destruction, damage or legal liability directly or indirectly caused by or contributed to by or arising from nuclear weapons.
vii. Consequential loss of whatsoever nature.
viii. Transport by air and sea.
B) SPECIFIC EXCLUSION:
Enterotoxaemia, Sheep Pox, FMD, Anthrax, H.S. These diseases are covered by the policy if the animal is successfully inoculated (protected) and necessary Veterinary certificates are submitted.
6. VETERINARY EXAMINATION &IDENTIFICATION
The sheep shall be examined by Veterinarian, who will give certificate in PHC Format certifying the tagging, tag no.s and health of the sheep insured. Identification of the sheep shall be by polyurethane ear tags. National Insurance Co. Ltd shall pay the fee of Rs.5/- towards tagging & examination to the concerned.

10. MIGRATION OF SHEEP AND GOATS
Claims arising outside the geographical area in situations like drought, epidemics and naturalcalamities, necessitating movement of insured animals are payable. Relaxation of the aforesaidnature can be extended to movement of sheep and goats from lower to higher altitude as perweather conditions prevalent in the area. Further, migration of sheep and goats within 80 kms isallowed without any extra premium
11. RELAXATION TO ‘NO TAG NO CLAIM:
✔ Whenever the tag falls off or lost, under exceptional conditions,, the beneficiary shall intimate the loss of tag in writing to VAS/Societywho shall arrange re-tagging with a new tag for which Retagging Charges would be collected and then inform to Amaze Insurance Brokers Pvt Ltd by mail/SMS immediately with complete details. These details shall be informed immediately on receiving the intimation of retagging to NIC by Amaze Insurance Brokers Pvt Ltd for the records of NIC and passing necessary endorsement.
✔ The receipt of intimation of loss of tag in writing to VAS/Society shall be deemed as the intimation given to NIC and if death occurs during the intervening period, the claim will be honored by National Insurance Company Ltd.,
✔ Investigation will be arranged by National Insurance Company Ltd., whenever it is warranted
✔ No Tag No Claim is not applicable for claims due to Natural Calamities (AOG Perils) like Floods, cyclones, inundation etc, Accidents like Fire Accidents where tags get destroyed. In all these cases certificates issued by local authorities like MRO/Police need to be submitted in place of VAS Certificate.
